English & Spanish-speaking clinical psychologist
Therapy for the life you're building far from home.
Dr. Rosalyn Glicklich is an American-trained clinical psychologist supporting expats, internationals, and students through the anxiety, isolation, and identity shifts that come with living abroad — in online sessions, in English or Spanish.
Why people reach out
Living abroad can be exciting — and quietly disorienting. New roles, new language, new systems, with the people who know you best an ocean away.
Anxiety & stress
Building a life in an unfamiliar system, often in a second language.
Loneliness & isolation
Feeling far from friends, family, and a sense of belonging.
Work & identity
Shifts in career and role that make you question who you are here.
Mood & relationships
Strain on relationships, low mood, trouble concentrating or sleeping.
How I can help
Personalized therapy, shaped around your situation.
Most people notice reduced distress within the first few sessions. Whether you're here for relief, insight, or a bigger sense of direction, we start where you are.

Meet Dr. Glicklich
An American-trained psychologist who understands what it means to start over somewhere new.
I'm a clinical psychologist licensed in New York State, now living and practicing in the Netherlands. For over sixteen years I've worked with diverse individuals, couples, and groups from around the world — across hospitals, community mental health centers, a college counseling center, and a psychoanalytic institute.
My identity as a therapist is shaped as much by my training as by what I've learned from the people I work with. Therapy can be daunting at times; what makes it easier is a real relationship with your therapist. You can expect me to show up with warmth, respect for your values, curiosity about your inner world, and a sense of humor.

Collaborative, flexible, and tailored to you. I see my role as a guide on your journey toward the life you want to build.
We begin by discussing your goals — short-term or long-term — and move at the pace that feels most helpful and safe. Your questions and feedback shape the work as we go.
Evidence-based methods I draw from
- Psychodynamic
- Interpersonal
- Humanistic
- Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
- Mindfulness
- Family Systems
An integrative orientation lets me match the method to the person — rather than fitting every person to one method.
What to expect
Starting is simpler than it feels.
A no-strings consultation
We talk through what's bringing you in and the context around it. You get a real sense of what it's like to work with me — with no obligation to continue.
If it's a good fit
We schedule a regular weekly session and agree on goals together. If another provider would serve you better, I'll say so.
Ongoing, personalized care
Sessions are online and tailored to you. Most people report reduced distress within the first few visits as the work takes shape.

Frequently asked questions
Good questions to ask before you begin.
Think of it as a no-strings consultation. We continue the conversation from your initial contact so I can understand what's bringing you in and the wider context around it. You'll get a feel for how I work and can ask me anything. If we're a good fit, we'll go ahead and schedule a regular weekly appointment.
I send an invoice and payment link at the end of each month. If you prefer to pay in euros, I use Wise. If you prefer US dollars, I use PayPal or Zelle.
I'm not currently accepting Dutch health insurance. However, you may be able to get reimbursed through an international or student health insurance provider. If you have a New York State address with out-of-network coverage, you may also be eligible for reimbursement.
If you need to change your appointment time and give sufficient notice, I'll do my best to accommodate you at no extra charge. Full payment is required if less than 48 hours' notice is given for a reschedule or cancellation.
I work with adults and students studying abroad — expats and internationals from all over the world. I see individuals, couples, and groups, in English or Spanish.
Take the first step — a conversation, not a commitment.
